Who Is Friends of Jesus

Friends of Jesus is a ministry that reaches out to the  developmentally disabled and others who feel oppressed.  We celebrate our right to worship through music, basic Bible lessons, prayer, scripture memorization, fellowship and more.  We serve God through the love of our fellow man.  Like Jesus, we love all people.  As our theme verse says, we are all chosen by Jesus to be his friend.

What We’re Up To

Prayer Garden

April 19th will be the ground-breaking ceremony of our new Prayer Garden. This serene location is going to be a beautiful and peaceful destination for meditations, therapy, and much more. prayer_garden1

Everyone is welcome to come and participate in this event. You are invited to bring your picks, hoes, shovels and tillers and join us on this joyous day!! Feel free to bring us plants as you thin out your gardens this year too.

Lanes Lawn Service is bringing in a mission group to work on the gardens and our wheelchair ramps.

ADA Compliance

We got a generous donation from Energy Co-op Round-Up program of $3000 that gave us a big jump on our front wheelchair ramp. With donations we were able to get an ADA compliant Front entry door and have began working on converting the basement to usable space over the winter.
Now that weather is breaking we are going to continue working on the 2 wheelchair ramps and the making the other 3 entry doors ADA compliant.

New Ministry Locations

Friends of Jesus currently has chapters worshiping in southern and central Ohio. If you are interested in establishing a Friends of Jesus ministry chapter in your area, please contact Sherri Cummins at info@fojministries.net.

Lowe’s Material

Lowe’s Home Improvement Store has donated a gift of 50% off building materials for the entire ADA project. We are accepting donations of Lowe’s gift cards for our wheelchair ramps, entry doors, restrooms, basement and office refurbishments. Contact us to find out how your donation is tax deductible!
